welcome to the grown up's table 2 reps per camp, no goddamn rats remember: this is a council, not your sideshow don't make our bullshit your biz. you wanna bitch each other out, respect everyone's time and swing fists outside far as i'm concerned, this is neutral turf for info, suspects, leads, and any theories you wanna lay out on the table
i've got a line to some of the other roles (necromancer = talks to the dead), (? = can rez someone) in play i'll be your hookup if you've got a message to pass down not outing their names or their teams, so don't ask. they're in ani's witness protection program for now
that's it. floor's open for whoever else wants to sound off
[ interesting to open this forum with such a clear declaration of distrust, but there’s valuable information in here still. ]
Thank you for the invitation.
My companion spoke to the Shepherd, or attempted to, at least. He said,
“The wolves are the cost of the covenant. Are their claws deadlier than the Manor's falsehoods? Is bloodshed a crueler fate than damnation? My flock is protected by our oath. The wolves are signs that that covenant holds true. Each death is a tithe paid. The wolves are not punishment. They are proof. The fire speaks, and the fire chooses. I do not play children's games. I am simply a host. The Manor toyed with its pawns. But here, the pawns play with fire. Tell me which burns truer."
so he's out here peddling souls to satan or something?
( this shithole is getting worse all the time (tm). )
your companion good btw? i know some people here think all attention is good attention ( saber.... ) but not sure i'd wanna be in his crosshairs just in case he's the one pulling the wolf's triggers. you know?
Mayhaps. I would imagine he mislikes the idea of any us breaking the bonds of the commune or covenant.
[ ! ]
It’s good of you to ask. He’s as well as he can be — and a deft interlocutor, besides, so it seems only the words themselves will haunt him, for the moment.
The attacks also seem to lack a pattern indicative of a singular guiding hand, for better or for worse.
Thank you, Ani -- and thank you everyone for the opportunity, I'm very honored to be here.
[he's cried about it minimum 8 times and maybe thrown up once but! he's here!]
I can corroborate the existence of the same necromancer, though I think Ani's word should be sufficient, at this point. We also have these rumors about a witness to a Diamond leaving two of the crime scenes, which is interesting, to say the least. Last year we had no witnesses to the crimes, aside from doctors.
I also have a list of everyone's roles during September, in case the weapons used corroborate.
[ Thanks to Silco for sparing him the humiliation of having to be Merlin anywhere Tony Stark can see - sorry to Ani for the alternative but he's running out of options and co-chairs gotta co-chair ]
The information about the diamonds came from within the clubs, and not from Saber.
I don't have original sources for either of the tip-offs - I'll see what more I can find out - but one claims to have overheard it in passing. I don't have confirmation for this, but I suspect what that actually means is it's knowledge gained as the consequence of a role
In which case it's a valid lead and would help us to narrow our focus
One, I assume, will put Saber away. Do we have any suspects for the other?
The lead on the vampires seems ... not moot, but gone cold, considering that Paul was not bitten and Giles was attacked rather more brutally than would be typical.
we're thinking giles to come back on the third sunday or whatever the fuck might give us something new to chew on if he can remember anything heard whispers about peony but i'm waiting on the newspaper delivery there
Ani, did you know you had a role before you saved Jake? Or did it just—activate for you? Like we presume it does for the wolves, in the night?
How do the necromancer and the resurrector know their roles for certain? Have they already spoken to the dead? I wouldn’t put it past someone to pretend they’ve been assigned some other role to stay off the chopping block, for the moment, even if the lie won’t hold.
yeah, i knew what my role was before it kicked in re: ouija board ghost hours, they're working on it i know giles & castiel & paul are at the top of everyone's list but i'm gunning for peony, so we're gonna see if she saw what symbol her killer was repping
Well, I presume we can agree this is going incredibly poorly.
With the investigations slowing and the accusations quickening, the game becomes one of numbers, not intelligence.
I suggest we rule out Tony, Stephen (accused in desperation by the vilest of our number), Wanda (abilities unlinked to the Diamond attacks), Jem (who has been threatening other members of the Hearts, presumably to draw fire from Danny). Additionally, I’m disinclined to support the accusation against Buffy Summers due to the use of… a greatsword? Scythe? Her brute strength would surely be the tell, in a crime she committed.
I suggest we coordinate our votes to ensure Saber and a Diamond are sent to the cage, leaving us with Danny, Armand, August, and any we ourselves would put forward.
On the other Diamonds: • A case has been made for Devon on Jinx’s post. Please read through it. • Ren may be employing the same tactic as Jem, in targeting the Yellowjackets, given her public upset over the Devon accusation. Do we know anything more about the nature of her superior strength?
Edited (and ANOTHER THING, more haterade) 2025-10-07 07:19 (UTC)
[ Somewhat embarrassed about the whole martyrdom thing not working out. But MOVING ON. ]
We're really going to believe this he-said-she-said about the Diamond attacker? We don't even have a name for the source. Doesn't seem like enough to justify putting someone in a cage.
I am, yes. I agree with Stephen’s theory about the rumours being linked to a game role. Additionally, they’ve emerged from two separate teams, Hearts and Clubs, at two separate times, so it isn’t a concentrated effort against the Diamonds.
In any case, the maths suggest each team has one to two wolves. A game requires balance and rules to be played.
I don't buy Devon. Those who know him and his skillset well don't seem to think him physically capable of the Castiel murder they're attributing to him. The only real connection seems to be the fleshworker angle, and that's close to nothing. If those tools are unguarded at night, anyone could take them.
Danny's a diamond, seems capable of Castiel's murder in both strength and a described tendency for symbolic brutality and enjoyment of the act of killing, and is a risk regardless, for the similar reasons as Saber is.
If we want to avoid a wasted vote, this is a safe protective measure that gives us time to look more closely into our other questions.
Actually, in comparison to last year it's going slightly better? This time last year it was an all-out screaming fight, but thus far only two people have been punched.
[progress! morale boost!]
If our diamonds options are Armand, Danny, Devon or August, as far as physical strength goes my money is August or Danny. I find it equally suspicious that the two drained of blood -- Paul and Giles -- do not seem to have been fed from, which, according to a close companion of Armand’s, is near-impossible for vampires of that world.
I don't want our votes to fall in line with any prejudices -- against vampires or those who've committed past crimes. That destroys our credibility nearly as neatly as bickering in public would.
[looking DIRECTLY at you, stephen and tony.]
With the votes ending tonight -- who among all our allies would vote with us? My crew is three people, plus my boyfriend, plus Tim, possibly.
The Yellowjackets will be targeting Devon imminently. I don't imagine we'll be able to persuade them to look elsewhere; it's simply wise to note where a voting bloc will stack.
so that's 4 locked in for saber. me, koby, jake, heart. 4 of us left.
i'm not sold on any of our second round draft picks, fwiw. i have no idea what kinda blame game august and buffy are playing. devon's a snitch, but i'm not buying the theory about him. hawkins fuller's been spewing some vile shit at me for putting embry's name down - danny's a good scapegoat to ride off into the sunset. he'd stoop real low to take the heat off of embry.
doesn't make danny innocent of everything else, tho. like the doc up there said, he's still a fucking psycho. so if we're gonna vote by harm reduction, i'd swing for him. doubt anything better is gonna come out
