[ Thanks to Silco for sparing him the humiliation of having to be Merlin anywhere Tony Stark can see - sorry to Ani for the alternative but he's running out of options and co-chairs gotta co-chair ]
The information about the diamonds came from within the clubs, and not from Saber.
I don't have original sources for either of the tip-offs - I'll see what more I can find out - but one claims to have overheard it in passing. I don't have confirmation for this, but I suspect what that actually means is it's knowledge gained as the consequence of a role
In which case it's a valid lead and would help us to narrow our focus
Really? I have another source within the Hearts for the Diamond tip-off -- the one about Castiel. It's possible that they could be more than one person as a witness? Or at least as an informant.
There's more than one wolf and, hopefully, more than one doctor. It stands to reason there are multiples of other roles.
I agree. I have reason to suspect there are two of at least one support role.
I’m also inclined to believe there are at least one to two wolves per team, based on the number of attacks and the rules of any “game,” magic or otherwise, which demands a measure of order amongst the chaos.
And we've been told there are two wolves in the Diamond team, responsible for the deaths of Giles and Castiel, both dramatic in execution.
Removing Ani, Giles, and Koby from the equation, and with Ani speaking for Bob, this is who remains:
August Moreau (witch) Adrian Chase (superhero) Armand (vampire) Betty Cooper Caroline Forbes (vampire) Clark Kent Danny Johnson (murderer) Devon Rex (witch) Emmrich Volkarin (necromancer) Hawkins Fuller Jackie Taylor Kate Bishop (superhero) Nat Scatorccio (arsonist) The OA (angel) Ren O'Neill (superstrength) Roza Zaripova Spike (vampire) Wanda Maximoff
I appreciate the show of confidence, Silco, but I haven't been ruled out. I'm an empath with some telepathy and compulsion powers. I should be added back.
Having said that [ what he just said to Ani ] we need to focus on these specific killings. I don't think the power you've described is reflected in what happened to Giles. Do you see any trace of it in Castiel's death?
But while we have a reliable means to narrow the pool a little, I think we should keep our focus there. So the list is likely fine as it is for this vote. Agreed?
You sure it smelled more like magic to you? Way I hear it, Paul was around last go around Could be he knew his attacker. Knew how it was going to shape out. He that kind of guy?
It'd depend on if it were someone he knew. Apparently he's some sort of messiah type -- I don't see him surrendering unless it was to someone unimaginably powerful.
devon & saber are in the same military group & he was the jerk-off behind the leak
( and despite how she's come around a little on hawk — )
clark kent floated the brilliant idea of shoving me and/or jake in prison hawkins fuller is a snake in the grass who keeps trying to throw me under the bus and drooling at the mouth over danny johnson with gems such as "yeah she has a role but we can't rule ani out" "well, how the fuck did anora rescue a man twice her size, maybe she hauled castiel's ass up on the cross". suspicious much?
not jackie not roza
diamonds were pointing the finger over at parisa kamali & dom food for thought
Why not Roza? I understand Jackie is one of the children amongst us.
Dom is my pupil. While he's terribly bright, his magic is juvenile, at present. Parisa also seems rather unlikely to have physically lifted Paul Atreides, which is the death in which we might suspect magic or compulsive elements.
because i've vetted her myself it's not how her mind palace stuff works
it's still food for thought if we think someone's pointing fingers to redirect the heat about their own powers know what i mean? august's the one who pitched it
i also don't know my ass from adam about magic. you're the magic man around here but if someone's a rookie as green as dom, could something be tapping into his - i don't know, output? potential? could juice them up more than they'd usually be. like magic on roids
Forgive me, but there is no vetting, at least not based on character. We are compelled to perform our roles here as we would in the commune. What abilities does she have? Is she capable with weaponry?
I suppose it is possible the role of the wolf could activate the potential latent in an individual. He's young and emotional, however, so at the very least not suspect in Castiel's crime. (As a note, there is one here who feeds on the magic of others. Kai, on Clubs, but he would then claim that power for himself, to my understanding.)
August is one of my dearest friends and, unfortunately, incredibly powerful. I cannot rule him out, however much I would like to.
I've just got confirmation that the tip off about Castiel came second hand from a source within the Hearts. I'd guess we have the same name, but I'll check in with that person and contact you privately after.
The other says they caught the overheard the information from amongst the dispersing crowd. Has no way of identifying who it came from, but claims that whoever said it claimed to have seen the diamond fleeing the scene themselves.
Which would imply that person was awake during or shortly after the murders.
[ Which, from what he can tell, doesn't seem to be how that's supposed to works. ]

Giles and Castiel were both brutal, but I agree with the theory that Giles was an attack of passion and Castiel one of methodical calculation.

[ A word he'd scoffed at her for once. He uses it now because she'd used it then - because he's learned better. ]
Neither of these killings reflect her power. Assuming people are able to use their abilities while they kill, we can rule her out too.

Her magic has very few limits. The only real guarantee is there would be no need for a weapon.
