I'm sure everything she said is true, that's what she's good at. But it doesn't make sense. Why would Klaus, given the opportunity to kill her, twice by now, decide that after 500 years he'd let the opportunity slide?
By who? No one else knew until now. If Katherine died in round one I would have assumed it was me. Everyone from home would have assumed it was me. Louis would have assumed it was me.
[ she types and deletes that she daydreams about that actually. she tries very hard to be a good person, katherine is simply her well-deserved weakness. ]
Yeah, I probably would have suspected him then. But that bitch is still alive which is why I don't.
It's just bad tactics to leave a bomb like that sitting around.
So, walk me through that. You think he would make the obvious choice of Katherine, big blinking arrow pointing at himself be damned?
That sounds condescending. Sorry. That's not what I mean - it's a real question. Some people have more foresight than others, and I don't know Klaus enough to say.
I know it's hard to believe and I have no evidence to back me up because I can't prove a negative, so I won't stand in your way if you choose to go ahead with accusing. I know you just want to stop this.
[ Tim is of the opinion that this is based more in personal feeling than anything else, but he gets it. His priority, above all, is to minimize the violence - and if his friends or loved ones come under fire, that's just the tragedy of it. If it were his own people, he'd want to be completely sure. He's vote for them if convinced, but it would be a hell of a lot harder. ]
Unfortunately, preferences and personality are probably...the last thing to consider. I'm not ignoring you, but if he's powerful enough to have five victims under a his control at once, he's one of very few.
ain't sure which side of the fence i fall in, but something to chew on: saber put a bullseye on jake's back to take him out of the running and get me to himself that's not kissing my ass, i'm just being straight up. he's a fucking freak
danny and his girl obsessed over this alina chick when they didn't gut her the first time & then there's our new line-up misty accuses devon, nat dies. i accuse saber, koby dies. cellar accuses danny, her friend iggy dies like they sat down at the table and made their picks based on punishing us for running our mouths
not saying it's nothing. this klaus shit? he's got dirty enough hands i'd keep him on a list but the choices feel real damn personal. why not kathy if he's got a score to settle?
Some of them are personal. Some aren't. I think it depends on the wolf. Last year, I was attacked by Eddie. I had never spoken to him, even before the game. Neither had Hawk, or Koby, or anyone else I was close with at the time. Dean said that Castiel didn't really know anyone. Finch said the same of Peony.
Some of them are smart enough to cover their tracks and not jump at the most obvious choice. I figure the 500+ year old vampire is probably smarter than Saber. As low as that bar is.
[ she doesn't think he would be able to compel paul. or castiel. or iggy. maybe not koby. certainly not set. but it feels like, again, she's arguing a negative and that her bias shifts more toward klaus than against katherine which is really where it lands. fuck her.
The compelling is trickier and points to a vampire or magic user among us, to be sure, but I don’t think it enough to accuse Klaus on its own — particularly if one believes August is guilty and responsible for the evidence of a wolf or hound at both Giles’ scene and the altar.
There are many who hold that power, including Louis, Lestat, and Armand. Of the witches: Alia, myself, August.
I understand, Tim, and I believe we must explore every possibility.
I remain unconvinced of August’s guilt, when his accusers cannot decide which attacks were his, either. (I recognise my bias in matters pertaining to him, of course.) And we don’t know if Danny was, indeed, a wolf himself — though I’m inclined to believe so.
That all to say, as one who once trusted Armand, I would not rule him out until we have confirmed our Diamond wolves in true.
It is Paul who did not struggle, in the first round, when he surely would have. He was hanged, cut, and drained meticulously. I do not know what to make of it, in truth. One who compels but does not partake might point to a witch.
I don't know. I'm sorry that your friend is under fire. But the hellhound pawprints seem like too specific a detail to be faked. At least from a mundane Army boy point of view.
If the blood was wasted [ ugh. ] it doesn't seem like a vampire. At least not a "pure" one. I'll try to get more information on Klaus.
@percival
And I know I'm biased but it's probably not for the reasons you think it is.

But if you don't think part of it is true, I'll hear you out.

"he can't compel a god" just sounds whiny anyway.

@gawain
And a werewolf’s paw prints, even one as old as Klaus, aren’t likely to glow with magic.
I think this is a grand misdirect.

But what of the compelling? We have five left.

You, yes. And yet I do not you bled Paul in the first round.

It could be you or Alia. But which of the first round would we attribute to either of you?
If we believe August and Danny are both guilty, Armand likely isn't. That would be three for the diamonds.
Louis and Lestat are possible, but I don't know what I would attribute to either in round one. Nothing fits.
I'm not quite ready to accuse him. Just talking it out.
